From what I've heard there are other browsers that work just fine (TenFourFox, Chrome maybe?).

Simply put, it's highly unlikely that Dropbox will fix this as they would have to update their website so it can be used by an outdated browser that is no longer supported by Apple.
Are these companies supposed to continue developing for an outdated browser that doesn't support the current technology? Most websites won't display properly in IE8 because they've been updated to support the newer technology which IE8 doesn't recognize. Microsoft has released IE9, 10, 11 and Edge since then. Windows XP is still widely used and the highest version of Internet Explorer that it can run is IE8. Open new windows with your homepage: Select the New windows open with pop-up menu, then choose Homepage. To simply use the webpage youre currently viewing, select Set to Current Page. Then you'll see that ctrl + t does what you want. Change its command to: New page, 1 & Go to homepage. 'Alt + P -> Advanced -> Shortcuts -> Opera Standard Keyboard Setup -> Edit'. In the Homepage field, enter a wepage address. First, you need to modify the ctrl + t keyboard shortcut. The same can be said for Windows XP and Internet Explorer. Open Safari, then choose Safari > Preferences, then select General. You can't expect other companies to hold back their development because you don't want to or can't update your computer, especially when there are other options available to you that continue to work. Under the option, Open with, check and select, New Tab Page. It's not surprising that it will start to have problems displaying web content as the technology continues to evolve. Safari 5.1.10 was the last Safari version to support OS X 10.6.8 and is also no longer supported by Apple (last patched in September 2013). OS X 10.6.8 was released in August 2009 and last supported in February 2014.
It's your best course of action to a resolution. I am running 5.1.10 on my primary computer but even a new version of Firefox cant load the website with live access. Saying "use another browser" is not really that helpful.
